Galloway, N.J. - Have you ever wanted to investigate a lead and report the news? If this applies to you, may be your launchpad to show your writing skills to everyone. 

Whether you want to report on a club, a cool event you loved, or want to express your opinion,  ��������app’s student newspaper can be your platform. 

Founded in 1971 during the university's early months, The Argo was created on the idea that Stockton needed a student-led, editorially independent newspaper, where students could voice themselves publicly without worry of the college’s administration interfering in the newspaper's affairs.

54 years later, and the newspaper's founding principles still continue.

The newspaper currently is looking for people with “a general interest in writing”, said Zuleika Rodriguez Garcia, a Graphic Design student from Toms River. “It doesn’t even have to be in writing, we do photography, we do a sports column, really anyone with an interest in anything.”

The Argo holds a meeting once a week in the Campus Center and on Zoom, but writers don’t need to attend to have their article published.

“We send out the news cord by email on Monday, and people claim their pieces or come to us typically at our meetings with any ideas they are interested in covering. Then, we see if we could connect them with anyone who would further their work and give them a platform to publish whatever they're interested in,” said Rodriguez Garcia.
