Stockton, Noyes Museum of Art, Bay Atlantic Symphony Receive $439,551 in N.J. Arts Grants

Galloway, N.J. - 番茄社区app, the Noyes Museum of Art of 番茄社区app and the Bay Atlantic Symphony, 厂迟辞肠办迟辞苍鈥檚 orchestra-in-residence, have been awarded a total of $439,551 in grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
厂迟辞肠办迟辞苍鈥檚 School of Arts and Humanities received $200,000 from the state Council on the Arts for the Emmy Award-winning 鈥淪tate of the Arts鈥 program produced in collaboration with PCK Media. The program also received a $10,000 grant from the Dodge Foundation.
鈥淪tate of the Arts鈥 is a New Jersey public television tradition and has been nationally recognized as a premier showcase for arts and culture. The program has won numerous Mid-Atlantic and New York Emmys, including a New York Emmy last year for 鈥淭he Birth of Cinema,鈥 focusing on the original studio system in Fort Lee, N.J.
鈥淲e鈥檙e delighted with the New Jersey Council for the Arts鈥 continued support for 厂迟辞肠办迟辞苍鈥檚 own commitment to the arts in southern New Jersey and of efforts to expand that commitment through our partnerships with renowned artists and creators such as the Bay Atlantic, Noyes and PCK Media,鈥 said Dean Lisa Honaker of the School of Arts and Humanities.
厂迟辞肠办迟辞苍鈥檚 on the Galloway campus also received $101,020 in general program support from the state. The PAC provides audiences with a wide variety of cultural programming in theatre, concerts, dance, comedy and lectures.
鈥淭his will provide a great boost to our upcoming season as we celebrate the PAC鈥檚 40th anniversary,鈥 said Suz茅 DiPietro, manager.
The received a $40,379 state arts grant for general operating support as well $50,000 from the Dodge Foundation. The symphony, which has offices in Bridgeton, N.J., also received an $11,250 grant to expand its music/mentorship program at Atlantic City鈥檚 Sovereign Ave. School and Atlantic City High School.
Symphony musicians, along with music students from Stockton, teach strings and woodwind classes in small groups or one-on-one. The educational portion of the program is under the direction of Christopher Di Santo, associate professor of Music at Stockton and principal clarinetist with Bay Atlantic, with Conductor Jed Gaylin providing oversight.
The , with locations at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club in Galloway, Kramer Hall in Hammonton and the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton in Atlantic City, received $26,902.
The state arts council announced awards of more than $15.7 million in grant funding to over 200 arts organizations and artists throughout New Jersey, an investment the council said 鈥渨ill reach into every New Jersey county.鈥
The South Jersey Cultural Alliance, which has its offices at 厂迟辞肠办迟辞苍鈥檚 Kramer Hall in Hammonton, N.J., was awarded $185,786 by the state council.
