A Message from President Joe Bertolino
Hello, Ospreys!
One of my favorite parts of being Stockton鈥檚 president is seeing the incredible ways our students, faculty, staff and alumni show up every day - committed to learning, lifting each other up and writing Stockton鈥檚 next chapter together.
In this issue of Stockton Now, you鈥檒l get a glimpse of that energy and excellence.
You鈥檒l read about the dynamic programming that took place across campus spotlighting Indigenous cultures, reflecting our community鈥檚 dedication to learning from and honoring Indigenous voices and perspectives.
You鈥檒l also meet Dr. Michael Palladino, our new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. From day one, he鈥檚 brought a spirit of collaboration and innovation to the work of advancing Stockton鈥檚 mission, and I know you鈥檒l enjoy getting to know him better.
We鈥檙e shining a spotlight on the Council of Black Faculty and Staff, Stockton鈥檚 longest-running affinity group, which for over four decades has empowered students through advocacy, mentorship and nearly $300,000 in scholarships. Their story is a powerful reminder of the impact of community-led commitment.
And we鈥檙e proud to highlight a new opportunity for students to turn their financial savvy into leadership. Our student-led Investment Club is helping members explore markets, gain real-world experience, and develop skills that will serve them well beyond graduation.
I encourage you to dive into these stories and celebrate the creativity, leadership and resilience that make Stockton special. And don鈥檛 forget, you can always stay up to date with what鈥檚 happening on campus through my Eye on Stockton series and by following me on and .
Hope to see you soon.
Soar Higher! Go Ospreys!
President Joe
